Give thanks in all situations.
Sometimes there are no words to express the feelings of the heart. Sometimes tears and the deepest wailing from the depths of our soul are the only ways we can extrude all of the heartsickness we are feeling. The tears release a tidal wave and when they have passed… perhaps we feel the way the sky does after a heavy rain, when it feels so much better it smiles a rainbow.
Tears and rainbows; rhyme or reason; creating a future or adding up the cost; it’s all gone or it’s just beginning. Now the moment has passed, the tears are finished, and I am waiting for the rainbow to reveal itself.
When there are no more distractions we can finally
dream lofty dreams,
and as you dream so shall you become
—James Allen, taken from As A Man Thinketh
And so we step into our future, heads held high, faces turned up to the sun and to the source of all things, knowing, that he does have a plan for us, and for that I am grateful tonight.
